Australian Crypto Convention 2024 with Major Speakers from Our Team and Nexa Theatre in Front
It was a huge weekend for Sydney! On 23–24 November, we made our official debut to Australian audiences at the largest crypto event in the country - Australian Crypto Convention 2024. Peter Rizun presented a new prototype hardware accelerator “Blitz” and Andrew Stone introduced private NFTs. Along with our President Andrew Clifford, they also participated in discussions at the Binance Theatre. Our exhibitor booth captured a lot of attention and our Nexa Theatre had a number of major speakers.
This event marks the beginning of a new chapter for Nexa, now two and a half years after its fair launch. On Friday, 22 November, we officially released the first version of our Whitepaper to the public. This document outlines Nexa commitment to advancing Satoshi’s technology in a dramatic way, with active development in hardware-accelerated verification, blockchain topology, contract features, multi-party transaction protocols and light client performance. This announcement kicked off an incredible weekend.
On Saturday, 23 November, Nexa Lead Developer Andrew Stone took to the Nexa Theatre Stage at the International Convention Centre to deliver an insightful discussion on private data and atomic secrets. This innovative approach enables the sharing of private NFT data without revealing it publicly while ensuring its accuracy.
Later in the day, Nexa Chief Scientist and B.U. Secretary Peter Rizun presented “Blitz” by Nexa and the technology behind the new FPGA hardware accelerator. Blitz is an FPGA-based accelerator card that allows your computer to offload computationally expensive tasks, saving time and energy. It also acts as a digital-signature verification engine for Nexa software.
On Day 2 of the event, 24 November, Andrew Clifford (B.U. President) and Andrew Stone appeared on the Binance Australia Theatre Stage for a panel discussion titled “The Coming War Between Government and Private Crypto”. They were joined by Zeneca (Founder of Zen Academy) and Robert ‘Robbie’ Coleman from the Litecoin Foundation. This dynamic discussion explored the regulatory landscape of cryptocurrency and CBDCs. All speeches will be available on the AusCryptoCon YouTube channel at a later date.
What’s Next for Nexa?
Nexa continues to accelerate towards the goal of becoming a renowned global blockchain network and primary choice for businesses and projects seeking superior token scalability. We are intent on empowering the digital, global economy of the future, through building a scalable, reliable, robust network.
We’re looking forward to showcasing more of Nexa’s mission and key focuses for 2025 in the weeks to come as we look to close what has been a busy year of growth and building for our team and community.
