We’ve prepared a packed recap of what happened in June. From groundbreaking talks and global events to ecosystem updates and community engagement, here’s everything you need to know about Nexa’s recent developments.
Introduction to Hardware Acceleration for Cryptocurrency, Dr. Peter Rizun at BCH Bliss, Ljubljana, Slovenia 2025
“You could verify the world’s transactions on the head of a pin if you stop thinking in software loops and start thinking in silicon”. That might sound like a punchline, but it is actually the foundation of what we are building with Nexa. This is not just theory or a whitepaper dream, it is real infrastructure, grounded in physics, designed to move cryptocurrency to an industrial-grade scale.
Nexa is more than a fast blockchain or a low-fee network. It is not about slogans or comparisons. Nexa is the first cryptocurrency purpose-built to scale in hardware. It is optimized for silicon, built to run in parallel, and structured to validate transactions in a way that aligns with how machines naturally compute. While users see features like smart contracts, native tokens, and instant transactions, the true innovation lies under the hood. Rather than relying on CPUs to crunch cryptographic math, Nexa leverages dedicated circuits and real transistors, making everything faster, lighter, and more efficient.

The President of Bitcoin Unlimited, Andrew Clifford: 10,000 Exchange-traded Cryptos: Why Nexa? Toronto, Canada 2025
We are witnessing a kind of accelerated natural selection within the cryptocurrency space, where every imaginable feature that developers can dream up is implemented and released into the wild to compete for users, adoption, and ultimately, value. In this environment, success is not measured by price alone, but by market capitalization. The larger the market cap, the stronger the position of a cryptocurrency in this vast digital ecosystem. This is no small detail, the total crypto market cap is already in the trillions and is on course to surpass that of gold within the next decade.
It has been sixteen and a half years since Satoshi Nakamoto launched Bitcoin. Since then, the ecosystem has expanded with immense financial and intellectual investment aimed at evolving digital assets. Meanwhile, Bitcoin has taken a more conservative path, focusing on security and minor refinements. If Bitcoin were released today, with 10-minute block intervals and no native token or DeFi support, it might not gain any traction. Users do not care about what happens behind the scenes, they want products that work. A seamless and rewarding user experience is what drives adoption, investment, and ultimately market dominance in a global, borderless economy.
What users expect is easy to list but difficult to achieve: autonomy, reliability, security, low fees, privacy, speed, flexibility, and global accessibility. Meeting these expectations demands vision and effort from those building the infrastructure of tomorrow’s financial systems. Despite more than 10,000 exchange-traded cryptocurrencies, none has fully delivered on all these needs. And that brings us to Nexa.

Originally scheduled to conclude on Friday, 13 June 2025, the Nexa Community Event has been extended by two additional weeks, now running until 27 June 2025. The extension comes in response to minting issues that surfaced during the initial phase, largely thanks to the high level of community participation.
