June marked three years since the launch of the Nexa blockchain, and with that milestone came a month filled with activity across the horizon. From conference keynotes and expert panels to technical presentations and community growth, the Nexa team continued to expand awareness around our mission and infrastructure. Nexa wants to thank everyone in the community for being part of the journey so far, your support continues to shape what we’re building and where we’re going. This month’s highlights include a talk on hardware acceleration by Dr. Peter Rizun in Ljubljana, keynote appearances in Toronto, attendance at the Monaco WAIB Summit, major updates to team structure, and the conclusion of Nexa’s collaborative NFT event with NiftyArt. We’ve included summaries of each below, with links to recordings, forum discussions, and full articles.
Introduction to Hardware Acceleration for Cryptocurrency, Dr. Peter Rizun at BCH Bliss, Ljubljana, Slovenia 2025
From June 13 to 15, 2025, Nexa Chief Scientist Dr. Peter Rizun attended the BCH Bliss conference in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Speaking to a technical audience of researchers, developers, and blockchain professionals, Dr. Peter Rizun introduced his latest work on hardware acceleration and how it can dramatically improve blockchain scalability. His presentation focused on moving beyond traditional software-based validation methods by designing systems that align more closely with how physical hardware processes information. Instead of relying on CPUs to compute cryptographic functions, Nexa’s approach centers on using real transistors and parallel execution to increase performance and efficiency. The concept generated strong interest at the event and reflects Nexa’s long-term vision of building scalable, silicon-optimized infrastructure for industrial-level adoption.

The President of Bitcoin Unlimited, Andrew Clifford: 10,000 Exchange-traded Cryptos: Why Nexa? Toronto, Canada 2025
Nexa President Andrew Clifford delivered a keynote presentation at the Blockchain Futurist Conference in Toronto. Titled “10,000 Exchange-Traded Cryptos: Why Nexa?”, the talk examined how the cryptocurrency market has evolved into a highly competitive landscape and why strong fundamentals remain the most important factor in long-term success. Andrew Clifford explained that market capitalization, not short-term price action, is the real signal of strength, and that users will ultimately gravitate toward systems that offer speed, reliability, low fees, and a seamless user experience. The president discussed how Bitcoin’s early design, while groundbreaking, would likely struggle to gain traction if launched today without native support for tokens or programmable finance, and the presentation highlighted how Nexa is purpose-built to meet modern user expectations. With its scalable architecture and hardware-oriented design, Nexa aims to deliver the features needed for widespread adoption in today’s global financial environment.
