Nexa Sponsoring at Bitcoin MENA 2025 in Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Nexa team concluded a successful appearance at Bitcoin MENA 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The region’s leading Bitcoin-focused conference took place on 8–9 December 2025 at the ADNEC Center. With attendance from major industry firms, influential thought leaders, and institutional investors, the event provided Nexa with a valuable platform to strengthen its position within the broader digital asset ecosystem. Nexa was one of the official sponsors of the conference, with a booth for attendees to visit.

Nexa Presence at the Event

The Nexa delegation consisted of five team members, including President Andrew Clifford and Core Developer Andrea Suisani. Within the exhibition area, FPGA Engineer Hypernyan presented live computational demonstrations using the Efinix development board. This demonstration illustrated functionality equivalent to the FPGA hardware acceleration prototype currently under development, offering attendees a tangible representation of Nexa’s ongoing technological progress.

Event organization, media coordination, and operational execution were managed by Don Alucard, who oversees Nexa’s conference strategy, visual communication, and exchange relations. Over the past year, Nexa participated in eight major global events, contributing through sponsorships, booth presentations, and speaker engagements. The sustained effort across these initiatives has significantly enhanced Nexa’s visibility, and the team expresses gratitude for the recognition and support received throughout the year.

A notable moment during the conference was the unexpected arrival of a group of Nexa supporters traveling from India to attend the event. Their presence contributed to a lively and positive atmosphere, reinforcing the growing international engagement surrounding the project. Nexa extends sincere appreciation to all community members who attended and supported its presence at Bitcoin MENA 2025.

The President, Andrew Clifford, at Web3TV Interview

Nexa and Bitcoin Unlimited received acknowledgment from event organizers and media outlets, with President Andrew Clifford participating in an on-site interview with Web3TV. In the discussion, Clifford outlined his entry into the Bitcoin ecosystem, his background in information technology and finance, and provided insights on Bitcoin’s historical scaling debates.

Bitcoin Unlimited (BU), established in 2015, is a development team dedicated to on-chain scalability research for Bitcoin. During the 2017 scaling period, BU’s full-node software played a significant role, at one point accounting for over 50 percent of global Bitcoin hashpower. Although layer-1 scaling was not adopted at the time, nearly a decade of research and engineering advancements, including deep system optimization and parallelization of the Satoshi UTXO architecture, have since been achieved. Many of these advancements are now being integrated into Nexa’s architecture.

Achieving high performance and decentralization while maintaining strong security has long represented a core challenge in cryptocurrency system design. Today, the industry is progressing toward what can be described as a post-scaling era, in which traditional technical bottlenecks are diminishing and where adoption, usability, and real-world integration constitute the next primary challenges. In support of this transition, Nexa is preparing for the introduction of a Wrapped Bitcoin token, the first to operate on a UTXO-based network, enabling enhanced programmability and a high-throughput environment for Bitcoin users.

Bitcoin MENA 2025

Bitcoin MENA 2025 distinguished itself as the largest Bitcoin-focused conference within the Middle East and North Africa region. Mirroring the format of its U.S. counterpart, the event convened global industry experts, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders. This facilitated a space where international Bitcoin innovation aligned with the region’s accelerating technological development and regulatory maturation.

As Abu Dhabi continues to emerge as a center for digital asset infrastructure, Bitcoin MENA provided strategic access to one of the world’s most rapidly expanding regions in terms of Bitcoin adoption, and legislative clarity. The conference highlighted the increasing relevance of the MENA region in shaping future global digital asset standards.

To Wrap Up

Bitcoin MENA 2025 in Abu Dhabi served as the concluding event of Nexa’s extensive participation schedule for the year. The conference played a pivotal role in expanding awareness of the project within the global Bitcoin community. Given Nexa’s early developmental stage, consistent visibility and educational outreach are vital for establishing a long-term presence in the industry.

While each cryptocurrency project adopts its own architectural and economic design, Nexa follows principles rooted in Bitcoin’s foundational model: a UTXO-based architecture, Bitcoin-like coin-tokenomics, fair-launch methodology, and a long-range development strategy.
