What’s New

LibNexaKotlin 0.5.66 is now available and the past couple of weeks have been remarkable, with multiple updates to the Nexa Kotlin Library. Updates focused mainly on improving wallet stability and reliability and fixing two important concurrency-related issues discovered during real-world testing.

Developers using libNexaKotlin for wallets, backend services, or decentralized applications are encouraged to upgrade to the latest version.

Additional improvements shipped during this release cycle include:

  • Better wallet cleanup handling during account deletion
  • Additional wallet locking and synchronization improvements
  • Dependency updates, including kotlinx atomicfu 0.33.0
  • Ongoing test infrastructure hardening and API cleanup work

A notable part of this development cycle is that several issues were discovered through testing the Wally wallet. It was a good demonstration on how ecosystem applications and the SDK continue to strengthen each other through developments and real usage.

Work continues with upcoming features and improvements:

  • Time-lock smart contract support
  • Additional test infrastructure improvements
  • API modernization and cleanup
  • Expanded testnet and explorer support

With the upcoming versions, the team will release more updates on how these developments unfolded.

Nexa Kotlin Library

Nexa Kotlin Library is a comprehensive multiplatform (Android, iOS, JVM, and many desktop native targets) toolkit for the Nexa blockchain, enabling users to build wallets, access blockchains, and interact with contracts. Learning it is best accomplished via example code, with documentation below used as a reference. The library contains sections for Wallet, Blockchain, Network, and Scripting. All are needed to implement a fully functional Nexa wallet, but portions can be used separately if full functionality is not required.

Conclusion

Nexa Kotlin Library is a core wallet infrastructure for developers building applications on the Nexa blockchain. It eases access to core functions, and builders can focus on their products rather than on integrating transactions building, and other interactions with the network.
