Last week, Nexa sponsored WAIB Summit 2025 in sunny Monte Carlo, Monaco. The summit took place over two days, 27–28 June, in the iconic Monte Carlo One casino building, with a branded Nexa booth in the main hall of the event. Don Alucard delivered an insightful keynote titled ‘Nexa Unlimited’, highlighting Nexa’s strength and potential. Core Developer Andrea Suisani shared invaluable insights during the panel ‘What’s Fueling the Next Billion Users’ alongside other cryptocurrency experts.
This time, Nexa hosted Miner Keeper and its prototype device built by Blacktea, our esteemed community moderator and founder of MK. It’s no surprise that this new piece of technology attracted a lot of attention.
WAIB SUMMIT 2025
The WAIB Summit (Web3 AI Blockchain) is recognized as one of the world’s largest Web3 and AI-focused events, exclusively dedicated to the convergence of decentralization and intelligent systems. In Monaco, global leaders, venture capitalists, innovators, and high-net-worth individuals convened to explore blockchains, generative AI, on-chain agents, and robotics on the first day.
The Nexa team delegation had the opportunity to participate in this fascinating event, followed by NFTFEST — a community-driven showcase of exclusive digital art, luxury collaborations, and leading non-fungible token communities across both days. This year’s program featured contributions from major industry participants such as Microsoft, AWS, Eliza, Chainbase, ChainGPT, and many others, offering in-depth analyses and forward-looking perspectives on the evolving technological landscape.
Nexa: A Proud Sponsor
Nexa was a proud sponsor of the event and had a delegation of five team members: Conferences and Exchanges Manager – Don Alucard, Core Developer – Andrea Suisani, Hardware ‘Blitz’ Developer – hypernyan, Content Creator – Endo, and Community Moderator – Blacktea.
Each team member contributed their knowledge and insights from their respective fields. They delivered a keynote speech, participated in a panel, and presented WAIB Summit Awards to a deserving winner. They showcased Blitz and Miner Keeper hardware to attendees.
The summit opened its doors with great energy as visitors began gathering early on Friday morning. The event kicked off with a keynote from Microsoft and a presentation on artificial intelligence. The summit brought together a wide variety of experts from the broader tech industry, including those in robotics and other cutting-edge technologies. The Nexa team had a fantastic opportunity to meet specialists from top-tier companies and share experiences.
The conference was of high quality, and the entire Nexa team was engaged, open, and ready to answer every question. We gained strong new connections, some of which could play an important role in the next chapter. Some of our existing community members surprised us by visiting the conference, and we want to sincerely thank everyone for your support, kind words, and time.
Nexa Unlimited and What’s Fueling the Next Billion Users
Nexa’s presence on stage began with Don Alucard’s keynote, ‘Nexa Unlimited’, which provided a strong overview of Nexa’s strengths, highlighted key features, and underscored the superiority of the Nexa blockchain. It was a high-end presentation to the general public that attracted significant attention and interest in Nexa’s presence at the summit.
Core Developer Andrea Suisani (aka Sickpig) also took part in a panel discussion alongside leading industry figures from Cointelegraph, OSL Pay, Crypto.com, OKX, and Doors3. The panel was professional and as insightful as expected, given the quality of the participants, and there were no empty seats during the conversation. Panelists educated attendees on the importance of permissionless, decentralized systems and their relevance today. Alongside other key industry topics, the conversation explored the growth of Web3 spaces and the inevitable future of decentralized technologies, with a billion users just around the corner.
ASICs and GPUs safe with Miner Keeper
A major surprise came with the introduction of the Miner Keeper prototype. Blacktea, a long-standing Nexa’s community moderator, presented his latest innovation: a remote miner monitoring and control system, complete with the Miner Voyeur Android application. Miner Keeper aims to create a small miner verification system that is independent of the miner itself. Some operating systems (for example, SMOS) have miner verification features but are integrated into the miner software.
The presence of an independent system allows for the addition of miner control and management features in the electrical and environmental fields, leaving the door open to future implementations of additional features. This is where Miner Keeper advances this space. Its dedicated software is designed for remote monitoring and control of your machines. No matter where or when you are — Miner Keeper always guards your miners.
Royal Gamechanger Award
The conference concluded with the WAIB Summit Awards ceremony. This year’s awards had ten categories, and Nexa was third in line to present an award. Categories included the Grand Prix Web3 AI, VC Titan, and Most Real-World Impact Awards. Nexa’s own Endo had the honor of stepping on stage to present an award on behalf of Nexa — the Royal Gamechanger Award — to a standout innovator from the gaming industry. This year’s award went to STEPNGO. Big congratulations to this innovative movement and physical activity incentivizing application.
To Sum Up
WAIB Summit 2025 was truly a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience. While we were there introducing Nexa to new people and showing them what we’re building, we were also learning, growing, and bringing back valuable insights. More content from the event is already in production and will be released in the coming days and weeks. We want to thank everyone who attended, engaged, and supported the Nexa project in sunny Monaco.
