Thanks to the beta testers and the Nexa developers, a new stability patch has been released. Wally 3.30.02 stability patch is already available on the Google Play Store and the App Store. This patch addresses glitches in new experimental features, optimizes the synchronization spinner to improve battery health, and fixes some rare crash cases.

Stability Patch

New Wally Wallet 3.30.02 Patch polishes current features and delivers needed fixes. The main improvement fixes iOS builds that could shut down unexpectedly at launch. Wally was closing during startup if the first screen took a little longer to appear. Three coordinated changes show an instant splash screen and handle setup quietly in the background. Also softened the sync spinner, which was quietly working the battery harder than it needed. The spinning “syncing” icon is now much lighter on your devices.

Also smoothed out a few smaller rough edges, as clearing all your identities is no longer buggy, interrupted animations settle cleanly, and Wally now shares a single network connection on iOS. There are also two new sync conveniences to improve stability. Wally automatically catches up an account if it falls behind the chain (while still respecting a careful, fully trustless recovery if you deliberately choose one), and a new Refresh button on the account bar lets you check for missed transactions and sync to the latest block whenever you like.

Wrapping Up

The wallet is one of the most important aspects of blockchain, and it receives dedicated attention from the Nexa team’s developers. Thanks to all beta testers and, of course, Andrew Stone, Jørgen Notland, and Steven van den Meiracker, who made this round of improvements possible.
